A cluster management organization established on the basis of the Packaging Manufacturers Association of Georgia (PMAG) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Free University of Tbilisi and the Agricultural University of Georgia.
The memorandum aims to support the development of students as professionals, the realization of their personal potential, the development of practical skills and competences to meet modern requirements.
In this regard, PMAG Cluster will enable students of Free University of Tbilisi and the Agricultural University of Georgia to undergo paid internships in cluster member companies.
"It is noteworthy that we have already started working on improving the qualification of students and announced an internship program. Within the framework of this program, third- and fourth-year students at the Free University and Agricultural University will have the opportunity to improve their professional skills in marketing, sales, production management, food technology and other areas in our member companies” - said Revaz Topuria, Managing Director of PMAG Cluster.
In the future it is also planned to organize joint workshops, seminars, conferences on various topical issues, as well as, research of issues of common interest and implementation of educational projects;
The initiative is supported by the European Union and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
