PMAG's regional representation has been launched in Kakheti

The regional scale of the cluster of packaging manufacturers in Georgia has increased and included the Kakheti region. The regional representative of the cluster will be MR. Tengiz Mtvarelishvili, who has many years of experience in the sphere of business, trade and chamber of the industry in this region.

The main function of the representative of Kakheti region will be to expand and implement cluster activities. Between them, attracting new members and maintaining and managing relationships with members on a regional scale. Also, to ensure the involvement and support of regional members in cluster activities/projects.

The aim of creating a cluster of packaging manufacturers in Kakheti region is to unite the networks of businesses, consumers, suppliers and other companies associated with this field and to connect them with the capital and other regions of Georgia. Establishing a regional cluster, in turn, will help to develop the packaging sector at the local level. Through a cluster of packaging manufacturers, it will be possible to optimize supply chain costs, stimulate the creation of new companies, increase productivity and address the employment problem to some extent.

A cluster of packaging manufacturers has been established in Georgia within the framework of the “EU Innovative Action for Private Sector Competitiveness in Georgia”, implemented by the European Union in collaboration with four UN agencies (United Nations Development Program (UNDP), UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), UN Industrial Development Organization  (UNIDO),  International Organization for Migration (IOM).
