"Itsis Marani" (based on the name of the village) is a family winery of the Gurgenidze, the confirmed beginning of which is the last quarter of the 19th century.
Growing demand has brought with it the need to develop a household. Therefore, in 2019, a small enterprise meeting modern standards were built on the estate, which was equipped with the latest European winemaking equipment. At the same time, the old cellar and pitchers were reconstructed. The renovated farm also created the need for naming - the company was renamed "Itsis Marani" Ltd. (in honor of the name of the village), and the term "Bimbili", which means grape grain, was chosen as the brand name of the wine in Rachveli winemakers. This name emphasizes the fact that each grain in the wines of "Itsis Marani" is important, each of them is specially selected. Also noteworthy is the fact that the wine grapes are harvested only from older vines, not less than 25 years old.
Today the farm is headed by Vladimer Gurgenidze, who has 50 years of experience in viticulture and winemaking. Along with him, the production process is led by renowned winemaker and technologist Davit Tamarashvili.
The winery produces about 40,000 bottles of different types of wine a year, which are made exclusively from local Rachuli and Lechkhumi grape varieties. With the existing infrastructure, it is possible to double the productivity.
