Eco Georgia joins PMAG Cluster

Eco Georgia joins PMAG Cluster. Eco Georgia Ltd is the first enterprise in Georgia to produce bioplastic granules. The company uses specific technology patented in China. The technology involves the production of bioplastic PLA material from corn starch, which can be used to make both compostable bags and all types of disposable products made of high-pressure polyethylene.

The company currently employs 25 people and the production process consists of 5 stages.

The main mission of the company is to replace the polyethylene used in the production of plastic bags in Georgia with an alternative eco-friendly material that does not harm the environment. Eco Georgia Ltd aims to introduce the standards set by the EU directives a and to sell bioplastic granules on the European market.

Thus, after joining the Eco Georgia cluster, the PMAG cluster already brings together 24 companies from the packaging value chain.
