The next WPO meeting is set to be held on November 23-27 in Johannesburg (South Africa). During the Johannesburg meeting, the Georgian side will personally inform the members of the organization about PMAG, as a result of which the members of WPO will take a vote regarding PMAG membership.
At this stage, WPO unites 65 members from 46 countries. In case of membership, PMAG will become WPO's first member cluster from the region and will also have the right to vote.
WPO was founded on September 6, 1968 in Japan. Since then, the organization has been working on encouraging the development of packaging technology and science, contributing to the development of international trade and the promotion of education and training in the packaging sector.
